Frequently asked questions
Your questions, our answers.
Can’t find your answer? Call us or book a time: it’s often easier to talk it through.
All frequently asked questionsBook an appointmentWhat is the difference between bookkeeping and financial statements?
Bookkeeping is the regular recording of all of the business’s transactions: sales, expenses, wages, taxes. Financial statements are the summary, prepared at year-end: they present the financial position and results for the year, and are used for the corporation’s tax return, for banks and for partners.
Salary or dividends: how should I pay myself from my corporation?
There is no single answer. The right choice depends on your income, your retirement plans, QPP contributions, your RRSP room and the corporation’s situation. We compare the scenarios with real numbers to help you decide.
How much do your services cost?
Fees vary depending on the nature and complexity of your file. Let’s talk about it at a first meeting: we will explain clearly what is included.
